Itinerary

On the first day of your 7-day Morocco tour from Tangier, our team will pick you up from your accommodation, whether it's a hotel, the airport, or the port in Tangier. Known as "the bride of the north," Tangier is a captivating city located in the northwest, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Spartel.

Our adventure begins by exploring the beauty of Tangier itself. We'll visit the famous cave of Hercules, a legendary site with fascinating rock formations and mythical stories. You'll have the opportunity to witness the natural wonders and soak in the intriguing history of this unique cave. Afterward, we'll head to Cape Spartel, where you can marvel at the breathtaking views of the meeting point between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. The scenic landscape is sure to leave you in awe.

As we continue our journey, we'll take a drive inland towards the charming city of Chefchaouen. Along the way, we'll pass through the city of Tetouan, known for its Andalusian influence and architectural beauty. The route will also take us through the picturesque Rif Mountains, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. We'll make stops at strategic points, allowing you to capture the beauty of the mountains and the scenic vistas.

In the evening, we'll arrive in Chefchaouen, where you'll spend the night in a comfortable hotel. Chefchaouen is famous for its blue-painted streets and buildings, creating a surreal and picturesque atmosphere. You'll have free time to explore the city, wander through the enchanting narrow alleys, and immerse yourself in the unique ambiance of this blue gem.

Feel free to explore the picturesque lanes of Chefchaouen after breakfast. Then we go to Volubilis to see the old Roman remains. It has been properly kept since it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It features several exquisite mosaics spread everywhere, as well as old pillars and archways.

After wandering among the remains, we travel 30 kilometers to one of the imperial towns, Meknes, the Ismaili capital. In this episode, we visit Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Then we're off to Fes. Stay at a Riad for the night

After enjoying breakfast at your accommodation in Fes, our team will pick you up to begin exploring this remarkable city. Fes is not only considered one of Morocco's imperial cities but also holds significant cultural and religious importance.

Our first stop of the day is the Royal Palace gate, where you can admire the impressive entrance and learn about the city's regal history. From there, we'll delve into the heart of Fes by visiting the medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enter through the renowned Blue Gate, also known as Bab Boujloud, which serves as the gateway to the old Medina.

To enhance your experience and ensure a comprehensive exploration of the Medina, a knowledgeable local guide will accompany you. They will lead you through the labyrinthine streets, unveiling the secrets and history hidden within. You'll have the opportunity to visit notable landmarks such as the Medrasa Bouanania, an architectural masterpiece that once served as a center of education. Marvel at the intricate details and soak in the historical significance of this ancient institution.

Next, we'll visit the Najjarine Fountain, a beautifully crafted fountain that showcases traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. Its intricate mosaic tiles and elegant design make it a true work of art. Continuing our journey, we'll explore the vibrant Tanneries, where you can witness the traditional process of leather production and see the vibrant array of colors.

No visit to Fes would be complete without a visit to the famous Quaraouin Mosque and University, considered the oldest university in the world. Take in the spiritual ambiance and admire the architectural grandeur of this renowned Islamic institution.

Leaving the Medina behind, we'll proceed to explore the Jewish quarter known as the Mellah. This historically significant neighborhood offers a glimpse into the Jewish heritage and culture of Fes.

To cap off the day's adventures, we'll drive to an ancient fortress that offers panoramic views of the Medina and the city of Fes. From this vantage point, you'll be able to appreciate the sprawling beauty of the city and capture stunning photographs.

After a day filled with exploration and cultural immersion, we'll return you to your Riad, allowing you to relax and reflect on the fascinating experiences you've had in Fes.

The 7-day Sahara Morocco trip continues south via Imouzzer after breakfast. To go to Ifrane, which is noted for its cold temperatures, snow, and alpine-style architectural residences. It's no surprise that it's known as Morocco's Switzerland. Then we go to the cedar forest, which is home to the Barbary macaques. You are welcome to feed them while exploring the forest. Later, we'll go to Midelt, where we'll have some free time for lunch. Then we drive across the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and through the Ziz valley, stopping for panoramic vistas along the way.

We arrive in the afternoon in the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Where you swap to camels and travel the sandy desert, stopping to watch the sunset on top of a high dune. Then go to the camp, which is a hybrid of traditional nomad tents and the elegance of a hotel. Where you may listen to Berber drum music while dancing around a bonfire beneath a starry sky. There is currently available accommodation.

After breakfast, we will spend the day exploring the Merzouga area. There are other wonderful features in the region, including sand dunes, natural lakes, mines, fossil places, and spectacular oasis. Which are perfect locations for a variety of outdoor sports. In Merzouga, we begin our tour by driving off-road to an old eyeliner mine. Then we pay a visit to the nomads in their handwoven tent. And learn about their way of life while sipping a cup of Berber tea.

The Khamlia village is our next stop, where you may enjoy Gnaoua music and dance performances. Its residents come from Sub-Saharan African nations such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Lunch at a restaurant is optional. After that, we go for a walk in the palm tree grove. Then travel a few kilometers to visit Merzouga's wild lake, also known as the lake of flamingos. Finally, make your way back to Merzouga. Dinner and an overnight stay Within a hotel

Getting up early in the morning is essential if you want to see the gorgeous dawn. Breakfast is optional. Then we leave the desert to explore Rissani, Tafilalet's old capital. Rissani is still a significant commercial hub in the area. With a bustling souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After a walk around Rissani souk, we travel to Erfoud, where we visit one of the fossilized marble workshops.

Then we travel through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the Todra Gorges. The Todra River has cut a massive canyon through the mountains. Rock climbers will love this towering red cliff-sided canyon. Feel free to roam around the gorges and take in the scenery. Lunch at a restaurant is optional. Then we go to the Dades valley through Boumalne Dades. Stops are unavoidable at the "monkey fingers" rock formation and a vantage point on a mountain overlooking the Dades valley. Dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel are included.

After breakfast, we continue our 7-day Sahara Morocco tour from Tangier to Kalaa Magouna, to visit the Rose valley. A Rose Festival is held annually in May, where the locals offer their rose products, from perfumes, rose water, oil, to cosmetic products. We then drive through the palm groves of Skoura and visit the Kasbah of Amredhyle. Then we reach Ouarzazate. Where we visit the studios in which famous movies were shot, and also visit the Taourirt Kasbah.

We then depart to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A fortified village recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in many movies including : Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy…etc. And also TV series including Game Of Thrones. After that we visit the Telouet Kasbah. Then we continue to Marrakesh by going through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, and the High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made for lunch and to take pictures at interesting spots. Finally, we drop off at your accommodation in a Riad in Marrakesh to reach the end of the 7 days journey started from Tangier
